Both Sergeants Instants Before the Attacker Received Electric Shock

A ranking policeman who rushed to the help of a colleague that got attacked by a knifeman was granted the Monarch's Honor for Valor.

Sgt Tim Ansell grappled with 27-year-old Jacob Brown after he held a weapon to the throat of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown launched his attack as the officers and their colleague, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a driver subsequent to a traffic accident in that location in summer 2023.

Brown knifed and cut the two Sgt Ansell and Sgt Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft incapacitated him with a electric weapon.

Sgt Ansell sustained two lacerations to his throat and further cuts to his limbs and torso, while Sgt Foster experienced cut injuries.

Officials stated Sgt Foster employed his hands to control his partner's bleeding before medical personnel reached the scene.

The new recognition follows subsequent to the law enforcement team received organizational Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the police federation award from the area officer association in early 2024.

They additionally received a Regional Bravery Award in mid-2024.

"The actions of each policeman ultimately rescued one another and resulted in no members of the public endured any wounds."

Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in April 2024, as stated by authorities.
